Onix TT Bike Statement

Many of our followers will know that we have been testing out TT framesets during 2011 as Onix has plans to enter the TT and Triathlon world to compliment its road bikes.

As I keep saying our Onix products are put through a rigorous testing program by riders from the very top of the sport. We will shortly be able to fully disclose what all of that involves when we put out the press release about our 2012 road bikes.

We have been testing out various options and specs for our TT bike and we have gathered a lot of expert feedback about it. After this process the consensus of opinion is that its good but its not as good as it could be.

The whole ethos around Onix is that we test and test and test until the product is as good as it can be. With our 2012 road bikes we know we have done everything we possibly could to achieve that goal.

However the TT frameset we feel could be made to be better by us putting some extra time and thought into it. I as the owner have decided that I would rather not bring out the product till its right than bring out a product that is not as good as it could be just to enter the marketplace.

As I keep saying it doesnt get the Onix Logo till its the best it can be.

I know there is a lot of riders out there eagerly anticipating the launch of the product and I apologise for not having the TT frameset ready for the 2012 season.

Testing will now continue on a number of different TT products and ideas till we feel we have got it absolutely right. I can not give a time limit on this but it is more likely to be for 2013 now than 2012.
