Scotland's first consumer bike show for every cyclist
Whether you're a cycle commuter, you ride on trail, track or road,
or simply enjoy a bike ride at the weekend with your family and friends The Scottish Bike Show 2012, being staged at the
SECC, Glasgow, on Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 April, is simply not to
be missed.
For the second year running Scotland's growing cycling community -
road, mountain bike, bmx and leisure riders and commuters - will have an all
encompassing cycle show right on their door step. With a great selection of independent bike
shops, distributors and manufacturers selling a huge range of the latest bikes,
cycle gear, clothing and accessories; a central arena hosting jaw dropping
cycle stunt displays, from among others the BSD BMX stunt team; have a go bike
test sessions and Scotland's cycling organisations and cycle centres offering
expert advice, there will be something for everyone; from hardened enthusiasts
to families and the curious new comer.

The action packed programme of interactive events will include the
BSD BMX stunt team who will amaze visitors with the craziest stunts and
tricks. There will be an indoor forest
track, 'an all in one cycling experience allowing visitors to have a go at
biking and experience some great trail features in a safe and fun
environment'. There will also be
opportunities to test ride brand new bikes on a flat city style track, with
various obstacles. Add to this cycling
challenges, competitions and promotions to win bikes and cycling gear the
Scottish Bike Show definitely has something for every member of the family!
Tickets prices for the Scottish Bike Show are great value for
money and remain at the 2011 prices - £7.50 adults, £5.50 kids and £20 for a
family ticket - 2 adults, 2 kids - if you book online in advance. Tickets on
the door: £10.00 adults, £7.50 kids and
£27.00 family ticket.
One of the highlights of the expanded TSBS programme in 2012 is
The Scottish Bike Show Sportive, a new long distance mass participation cycling
event with two routes through the stunning countryside of the Loch Lomond and
The Trossachs National Park on Sunday 15 April.
There will be a one hundred mile Sportive ride and a sixty-five mile
Challenge ride. Both fully signed and
marshaled rides will test all round biking skills and fitness levels with some
tough long climbs and fast descents throughout.
